This bronze medal was issued to some of the many volunteers and media members
that helped to make the 1984 summer Olympics such a success.

The Medal Measures 2 1/4 Inches.

The words “LOS ANGELES” “XXIII OLYMPIAD” surround the official logo on one side while a view of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with the inscription Citius Altius Fortius is on the other

The words Citius, Altius, Fortius is Latin for Faster, Higher, Stronger.

This is the Olympic Motto first proposed in 1894 when the International Olympic Committee was created.

Although it was not introduced until 1924 at the Paris Games.

This medallion has a little bit of everything that represents what the Olympic Games are all about.
