1936 to 1947 Walking Liberty Half Dollar 50C,
90% Silver, AG to Fine
The Walking Liberty Half Dollar is one of the most admired designs in American coinage. Sculptor Adolph A. Weinman created it in 1916. The obverse shows Lady Liberty striding toward the rising sun, wrapped in the American flag and carrying branches of laurel and oak. The reverse shows a bald eagle perched on a mountain crag. The design was struck until 1947, when the Franklin Half Dollar replaced it. Its obverse came back in 1986 on the American Silver Eagle bullion coin.
These circulated examples range from About Good (AG) to Fine (F). They're a good choice for anyone stacking constitutional 90% silver or building a Walking Liberty date set.
