George Frederick Buchanan, a talented landscapist, began exhibiting at the Scottish Academy in 1841 while based in Edinburgh.He later moved to Glasgow in 1842 and then to London in 1848, but his work continued to focus on Scottish landscapes. He exhibited at renowned institutions such as the Royal Academy and the Glasgow Institute. Despite financial challenges and periods of insolvency, Buchanan's artistic contributions remain notable, with his last exhibition in 1865.
