The proofs were struck with what Walter is called the Roman Gold, or Satin finish, which was essentially the same as the earlier matte finish, except the coins were not sand-lasted. his delightful Premium Gem displays sharply detailed design elements in all areas and the well-preserved orange-gold surfaces show no mentionable distractions. Obvious matte luster adds to the outstanding eye appeal of this Gem! NGC Population show 29 in this grade with 20 higher. We believe there actually are less due to multiple grading submissions.
