Vintage Opal and Diamond Brooch
Vintage, custom-made opal and diamond brooch in 14k yellow gold setting.
The setting tests 57% gold using an XRF metals analyzer.
The gross weight of the brooch is 34 grams.
The solid opal has mostly red color flashes with some blue and green color flashes.
The opal measures 1 1/8 by 1 1/8 inches and 4.5mm thick.
Using 10 power magnification you can see 3 hairline surface cracks.
There are five round brilliant cut diamonds on the sides, .50 total carats, H to I color, Vs clarity.
There are also three small rubies and one blue sapphire on the sides.
Overall, very nice condition.
